I began the Natural Spaces series by taking photographs from the edge of civilization. In visiting these sites where infrastructure and development currently exists, but natural vistas still remain, I started to question our need to occupy and control the natural world. In this series I am interested in reflecting that connection between the manufactured landscape and the human psyche.
